Bio

Eugenia Llanez (Villa María, Córdoba, Argentina) is a visual artist and self-taught photographer based in Buenos Aires. Although her artistic path began with painting, it was through photography that she fully established herself as an artist. Trained as a Systems Engineer, she worked for twenty years in the corporate world before deciding to leave that path to live in alignment with her true identity.

Art, present from an early age, found in photography a bridge between structure and intuition, becoming her deepest way of inhabiting and observing the world.

In 2023, she embarked on a six-month solo journey with her camera. This experience marked a turning point: the series Atemporal was born—a journey through both the outer and inner worlds—which led to her first exhibitions and consolidated her visual language.

In 2025, several of her photographs were selected as finalists in prestigious competitions such as the Hamdan International Photography Award (HIPA), in the edition “Power”, category Color, and the Exposure Photo Gallery edition “The Silent Beauty.” She also received a gold medal as winner in the category “Street Self Portrait” at the renowned Paris International Street Photo Awards (PISPA). That same year, she participated in ImageNation Paris 2025, during Paris Photo Week, as part of the collective exhibition Confluence – Where Arts Meet in Le Marais.

Eugenia is the founder of El Ojo Intuitivo, a creative ecosystem where art, intuition, and purpose intertwine to support creatives in the development of their vision and work. From there, she leads mentorships, workshops, and communities in Buenos Aires and London.

Her work has been published in media such as Revista Analógica (Editions 1 and 2), Revista Acromática, Fotógrafas en el Mundo, and Observadores Urbanos, among others. She has exhibited her work in Buenos Aires at spaces such as Wosco Art Gallery, La Rural (BADA), Distrito Arenales, and in Paris at Galeries Joseph, among others.

Statement

I wander without a fixed destination, guided by intuition. I am drawn to reflections, shadows, people, and colors that intertwine in mysterious ways. I do not seek to explain what I see, but rather to capture what I feel.

Photography entered my life as a bridge between structure and intuition. It was, and continues to be, a way of inhabiting the moment and discovering what reveals itself when I let go of control. Observing became a space where time suspends itself and life appears in its purest form.

Writing is also part of my process. Through my blog and my Inspirate newsletter, I explore what lies beneath the visible and share reflections on art, intuition, and everyday life. Words amplify what images suggest, allowing both to intertwine in a single creative pulse.

Beyond the individual, I deeply value encounters with others. I believe in art as a bridge to connect, dialogue, and inhabit our worlds in different ways. For this reason, I have developed spaces where practice becomes a collective experience of presence and creation.

“Photography reminds me that beauty is not always obvious, that sometimes it hides in the unexpected, in what is barely perceptible. It invites me to let go of the need to understand and simply allow myself to be carried by what resonates within me. What happens when we stop trying to understand everything and simply allow ourselves to feel beauty in this often chaotic and imperfect world?”
